Marc Stockwell-Moniz is Making History…Interesting!

Dressed in his authentic Revolutionary War Uniform, Mr.
American Revolution puts flesh and blood on our founding fathers
and mothers, making history fascinating for audiences young
and old…
Some people like history, others study history.
Then there’s Marc
Stockwell-Moniz. He lives history. Specifically the American Revolution.
A literal Son of the American Revolution (card carrying member born
in Cambridge, MA where General Washington first took charge of the
fledgling American army), Marc can trace his lineage back to English
and French kings. For him, reading about history is not an academic
subject; it’s his family album.
There is one other thing that brings Marc really
alive: Kids. Marc loves his own daughter, and he loves talking
to kids—of any age.
So it’s only natural for Marc to combine his two passions into one
wonderful pursuit. He transmits his love of American Revolutionary
War history to children.
Kids may not have as much knowledge as adults, but they can tell
when someone is for real. They flock to Marc. They recognize his
genuineness, they love his enthusiasm, and they resonate to the honesty
of his message of how great our country was, is, and can continue
to be.
When Marc talks about the Revolutionary
War, he does not describe historical figures. He talks about real
people. Relatable people. People we want to know. He takes them off
the pedestal scholars have put them on, and brings them out on the
playground of life. He knows these people. They are his friends.
And he shares them with his new-found friends in his audiences.
For those who haven’t had the good fortune of seeing
Marc in person, he has written George Washington's Unsung Heroes: He Couldn't
Have Done it Without Them. The Men and Women Who Helped Win the American
Revolution. Directed to kids from age 11-18, it tells the
stories of our country’s first heroes, known and lesser known. In
a very few pages for each person, brings to life the contribution
each made to the formation of a new nation.
School children love hearing about history from
Marc because he makes it interesting. However, Marc doesn’t ignore adults. He keeps
them intrigued simply on the strength of his prodigious knowledge
of the times and the minute details of the lives of the men—and women—upon
whose legacy this country was built.
Amidst all the angst and anger on all sides of
contemporary American politics, Marc shines the bright light of
truth on the spirit of
our country. He reminds us of the ideals of those who devoted their
lives—and sometimes gave them—so that the United States of America
could be born, live, and flourish. His talks stir our souls and rekindle
the fires of our pride in who we are and where we live and how we
got there.
This is a rare gift in these times of challenge.
It gives us all, adults and children alike, an anchor to hold us
steady in the vision
of our country’s fine heritage.
Marc Stockwell-Moniz is available for media interviews and talks
to audiences of all sizes and in every age range.
